Story
This was one of most exciting projects I have worked on.
Through the project, I learned so much about the vibrant culture and art scene of Cuba; I was so inspired by the famous Cuban artists, that I took the full freedom with my artistic skills and create the yellow pattern on the cover by using the discard light bulbs; hand brushed the letters “Soy Cuba”; hand-painted the title page for the “Top 10 Cuban film directors”; calligraphied “the wrinkles of the city, Havana” and experimented with typography in the rest of the project.
In 2018, I finally made a trip to experience the real Cuba, which far surpassed my expectations.
